Major Project is probably the most important piece of work I will do at university and the time is here. Being an indecisive person I always find it difficult to start a project and to make the first step towards my final goal. So as a beginning I thought it would be a good idea to look back to help me move forwards. MPP was a massive learning project for me, I learnt that my concept has to be strong otherwise I will get bored, which is what happened and I will not let this happen again. Secondly I learnt that I shouldn't let tutors and other people influence me and my work so much, as I get caught up in those ideas and my ideas get pushed to the side and forgotten, but these are the ideas I need to stick by. My strengths are styling and concept development and these are the things I want to show and as long as I don't get caught up in too many other areas, I should have a good project at the end of this year.
I had a tutorial with Josh, and found it extremely helpful in seeing what I need to focus on and what influences I should take my concept from. Also, I decided that doing a men's wear film would be the best vehicle for showing my skills, however possibly doing stop motion so I can have more control over the content of the film, as I like to be involved fully with every aspect of my work. I just hope I can stick with my ideas and not be torn down by other people.
